Nintendo of Europe is reportedly sending out a second wave of emails, giving lucky Club Nintendo users within Europe the opportunity to purchase the New Nintendo 3DS system. The special Ambassador edition New 3DS is priced at £179.99 / €199.99 and includes exclusive Ambassador cover plates, a set of Super Smash Bros cover plates, and a charging cradle. Those lucky enough to be invited to purchase the system must do so before 23.59 (BST) on January 12, 2015. Nintendo of Europe states the consoles should ship within 3–5 working days.

After the first wave of invites, many Club Nintendo users began to list their special edition New 3DS consoles onto the likes of eBay, with many selling for a hefty profit. Those who purchased the consoles at the inflated prices may be dismayed to hear the news that even more are being made available for purchase. Or perhaps not enough of the original participants actually bought the console, giving Nintendo the opportunity to offer the item to other Club Nintendo members.

The New Nintendo 3DS will be on general sale later this year. This new generation of 3DS features higher performance through a CPU with additional cores, a C-Stick, two additional shoulder triggers, 3D-viewing improvements, microSD support, and built-in NFC. There have also been a few design changes, most noticeably that the console has cover plates that can be removed and changed.
