It’s been many years since William Goldman’s romantic fantasy-comedy was adapted into Rob Reiner’s 1987 film, The Princess Bride. This is a film I remember a lot from my childhood, even to this day you still find references to this classic in pop culture.

If you want to re-live your child hood, Gameblend Studios has launched The Princess Bride – The Official Game that “takes players into this classic story to experience its best and boldest moments first-hand.” There are four mini-games within the adventure:

• Survive the Shrieking Eels!
• Scale the Cliffs of Insanity!
• Cross swords and duel with Inigo!
• Wrestle against a Giant!

For each game mode there is a unique leader board, challenges and rewards, including genuine images and audio clips to unlock from the film. Future free updates will include a test of the players’ wits and feature the dreaded Fire Swamp. The Princess Bride – The Official Game is available from the app store for $3.99.
