First 4 Figures now taking pre-orders for Modern Super Sonic statue

First 4 Figures has begun taking pre-orders on its Modern Super Sonic statue. Based on the moment that Super Sonic splashes down into the flooded ruins of Station Square during the final fight at the end of Sonic Adventure, the statue brings this classic gaming character to life in beautiful detail.

The statue stands at 16.5 inches tall to the top of Super Sonic’s spines and is limited to just 600 pieces worldwide. The exclusive edition can be purchased for $249.99 and features two lengths of LED lights under the water’s surface. It comes complete in deluxe full-colour packaging, with moulded foam interiors, hand-numbered base, and includes a card of authenticity.

Once Sonic has collected all seven Chaos Emeralds, he is able to harness their power to transform into Super Sonic. His fur glows a rich golden color, and he becomes capable of flight and running at even faster speeds than before. Super Sonic also get a tremendous increase in power, which he has needed to defeat the greatest threats that nobody else could stand against.

As with all First 4 Figures’ collectibles, Super Sonic is hand painted and produced in high quality poly-stone. Special painting techniques have even been applied to the figure him the reflective yellow sheen that is often seen in the games. A specially coloured clear resin on the base also allows you to look through the water to see the detailed ruined road that lies beneath the surface.
