Square Enix has announced that Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris has gone gold, right on schedule for its release date of December 9, 2014. This title is the sequel to Lara Croft and The Guardian of Light and like it’s prequel, it uses game play mechanics that wander outside of the traditional Tomb Raider game.

Both games have dropped the Tomb Raider branding as they are more focused on co-operative game play. In addition, they are more “arcade-like” and feature non-linear action with a fixed isometric camera. Temple of Osiris offers up to four-player co-op, new weapons, upgrades, power-ups, and an even larger world for fans to explore and puzzles to solve.

Keeley Hawes, who voiced Lara Croft in Tomb Raider: Legend, Anniversary, Underworld, and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, has confirmed that she will be returning to reprise her role of Lara.

Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris releases worldwide on December 9, 2014 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
