Bioware includes Mass Effect easter eggs in Dragon Age: Inquisition

Rather unsurprisingly, Bioware has acknowledged its other massively popular franchise, Mass Effect, in its latest release, Dragon Age: Inquisition. The most obvious nod to Mass Effect is a furnishing that you can find in an Orlesian mansion - this rather tasteful mounted Krogan head.

There are also more subtle hints that fans believe are in reference to Mass Effect, such as the notes of a very “to the point” healer in Inquisition‘s codex. The writer of the notes talks in brief sentences, much like Mordin Solus from the Mass Effect series. It’s also worth noting that a healer in Dragon Age is similar to the role of scientist in Mass Effect, which is exactly what Mordin Solus is. Although not a confirmed easter egg, this theory is definitely convincing.

This isn’t the first time Bioware has made refrences to its other franchises in a game and I’m sure it won’t be the last. Although I do appreciate the more publicised cross-overs such as the Blood Dragon DLC for Mass Effect 2, I prefer hunting down more obscure easter eggs whilst playing the game.
