Nintendo has announced that its forthcoming Kirby title, Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush, will support amiibo. Unsurprisingly, the three amiibo that the game will support are Kirby, Metaknight, and King Dedede. The official Japanese Nintendo YouTube shared the latest trailer for Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush that examples the use of amiibo within the game.

Certain amiibos, including the likes of Kirby, have become extremely difficult to get hold of; so if you’re planning on using amiibo for Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush it may take some hunting to get the amiibo you want. Many retailers have reported stock shortages of many of the amiibo figures, GAME has even increased the price of its own amiibo stock due to the shortages.
