The details for the new years event in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn have been released. As expected, the event will take place from December 31, 2014 at 15:00 to January 14, 2015 at 14:59 GMT. Players will be able to score themselves some new kabutos, furnishings, consumables, and most importantly - a new minion!

Many players have wondered when the Tender Lamb minion would come into play, now you can wonder no more as the minion will be available as part of this year’s Heavensturn event. There will be four new kabutos, this year they are styled like rams to celebrate the year of the ram. Two new furnishings will also be added, my favourite being an adorable sheep couple table-top ornament, as well as two consumable items.

If you’re feeling left out for not owning the kabutos from past years, then fear not! You can purchase any of the past Heavensturn kabutos from the optional item store via the Mog Station.

If you’re an avid minion hunter, don’t forget there’s still time to grab a Hoary the Snowman minion from the Starlight Celebration event that ends on December 31, 2014.
