Majora’s Mask made an unexpected appearance at Polish New Year’s event

Gaming elements can appear in the strangest of places sometimes, but I wonder how often it is that they show up accidentally? A Polish New Year’s Eve celebration featured a live show from the band, Big Cyc, who performed their popular song, Makumba. The song is about a man from Africa who goes to live in Poland and suffers at the hands of “skin heads”, later on he meets a beautiful girl and gets a good job. The song is apparently a comedy that is very popular in Poland. However, throughout the performance of Makumba, a massive Majora’s Mask featured at the back of the stage.

Considering that the next song to play also features a random mask in the background, it would appear that Majora’s Mask was used unknowingly. Whoever was in charge of the visual display for the show must have wanted to use a mask theme throughout the performance; it seems unlikely that they would choose such a well-known gaming icon that they would have no rights to on purpose. Having said that, the idea of the guy who did it being an utter Zelda fan chucking to themselves as they put the mask in the performance is quite appealing. You can watch the video below:
