Alex Hutchinson, director of Far Cry 4, has announced that any Far Cry 4 PC players complaining that the game doesn’t contain any field of view (FOV) options are accidentally revealing that they pirated the game. Hutchinson took to Twitter to out the players who illegitimately downloaded the game.

Complaints about the lack of FOV features are all over the internet, including the likes of Reddit. Those who purchased the game need not fear, as owners of legitimate copies of Far Cry 4 on PC are able to receive the FOV feature by downloading the Day One patch.

The news that many Far Cry 4 PC players have obtained illegal copies shouldn’t come as much of a surprise as Ubisoft’s CEO, Yves Guillemot, revealed to GamesIndustry International back in 2012 that “on PC it’s only about five to seven per cent who pay anyway, the rest is pirated.
