Square Enix has released a trailer for the forthcoming patch for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Part one of patch 2.5, Before the Fall, is scheduled to release on January 20, 2015. The highly anticipated patch 2.51 that will add the Gold Saucer content is expected at the end of February, with the final part of the patch planned to be implemented in late March.

This latest patch will add new dungeons, new adventures for Hildibrand agent of enquiry, and promises “great glory to be gained in joining the Scions of the Seventh Dawn against the evils of Eorzea“. Producer and director of A Realm Reborn, Naoki Yoshida, was kind enough to offer more insight into Before the Fall on New Year’s Day, detailing that patch 2.5 will contain two-thirds of the final main scenario quests, with the final quests being released with the second part of Before the Fall.

The trailer includes a quick peek at the Manderville Gold Saucer, as well as the second half of the Before the Fall main scenario, both of which will be implemented in the coming months.
