Leaked Rainbow Six: Siege gameplay and closed beta announced

New gameplay footage of Rainbow Six: Siege has emerged showcasing a map set on a plane. A 12 minute clip from the game’s closed alpha shows a player tackle the map from both the perspective of the hostage-takers and the hostage-savers, barricading and blowing their way through a jumbo jet, seemingly located somewhere in the UK judging from the police vehicles stationed on the runway. The footage shows some familiar destruction witnessed at the E3 gameplay presentation from last year as well as also showing off some new features including a retractable metal cover and barbed wire. Ubisoft have been desperately trying to remove the clips, however, at the time of writing the footage, it can be viewed here:

As well as this new footage, Ubisoft have finally confirmed there will be a closed beta sometime later this year after a GameStop poster previously revealed that beta access for the game would be guaranteed with the game’s pre-order. Ubisoft have confirmed this is still the case. ‘Pre-order our game and commit yourself to buying it in order to take part in something that would allow you to see whether you will enjoy the game’… huh. (Cannot confirm this is an actual quote from anyone at Ubisoft)

Are you excited for the game? Do you agree that beta entry for pre-orders is wrong? Let me know in the comments.
