ORIGINAL STORY:

ThreeZero will soon be launching its 1/6th scale collectible figure line based on characters from BioWare’s Dragon Age franchise. ThreeZero unveiled its highly detailed Alistair figure, preorders for which will be available tomorrow on ThreeZero on March 31, 2015 at 9am Hong Kong time. Alistair is fully articulated, featuring tailored clothing, is 12” tall (32cm), has realistic weathering, and includes shield, sword and exchangeable hands. The figure will retail at $150USD/1160HKD with international shipping included in the price. Orders placed via ThreeZero will receive an added bonus - a chest code that unlocks one random in-game item.

While the figure is absolutely awesome, it’s a shame that the figure is modelled on Alistair’s brief appearance from Dragon Age: Inquisition. I would much rather have seen a Templar or Grey Warden Alistair figure, based on his appearance in Origins. However, it has brilliant detailing and looks freaking amazing, even if the face is a little bit off for my liking.

Other characters have not been confirmed, but considering that ThreeZero has managed to get hold of the Dragon Age licensing it would be foolish to stop at Alistair. I’d love to see a Cullen, Morrigan, or Dorian figure made, and depending on whether ThreeZero are able to create characters from previous titles, Fenris would be an added bonus.
