The latest Killer Instinct Season 2 character has been revealed, Omen, Herald of Gargos will be joining the roster as an exclusive to Killer Instinct Season 2 pack owners. This means that Omen is not part of the 8 characters you would normally get as part of Season 2.Adam Isgreen, creative director at Microsoft, stated in the announcement that “we have no plans to sell this character individually”. Fans were given a sneak peek of Omen in advance of next week:

His movesets will be similar to that of Jago and Shadow Jago, which is fairly unsurprising given that Shadow Jago is the result of Omen possessing Jago. According to his description, Omen “has drawn enough power through his battles as Shadow Jago to manifest physically on the mortal plane”.

The reason for Omen being brought in during the middle of Season 2 is to provide enough time for the studio to polish off the four remaining characters, Golem, Ghost, Cinder, and ARIA. Fans wanting to see Omen in action can look forward to a live stream next week, before a full character trailer releases the following week.
