Nintendo of Europe has announced that two new themes will be arriving to the theme shop this Friday, on January 31, 2015. We’re taking a trip down memory lane with these retro Super Mario Bros and Balloon Fight NES themes. Nintendo must be feeling nostalgic of late, as it added three retro themes last week also.

Themes retail at £1.79 / €1,99 each from the theme shop; I think it’s safe to assume these new themes will be listed at the same price. There are many themes to pick from as Nintendo has been adding new themes quite regularly, including promotional themes that you can pick up for free at times. I love themes for 3DS and 2DS, it makes your console feel more like your own when you can customise it however you like. Of course, Nintendo is taking customisation to the next step with the launch of the New 3DS on February 13, 2015, as New 3DS owners will be able to customise their consoles with face plates. Regrettably, the New 3DS XL do not have this customisation feature.
