Nintendo UK offering a second chance at Majora’s Mask New 3DS XL that will release in March

UPDATE:

The Nintendo UK store has now sold out of its second batch of Majora’s Mask consoles.

ORIGINAL STORY:

The hype over the limited edition The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D New 3DS XL is becoming pretty crazy. This coveted console has sold out and been re-stocked now more times than I care to remember.

If you’re one of the many Zelda fans out there that is still hoping to get their hands on one of these beautiful editions, Nintendo may have just granted your wish. Nintendo is now taking pre-orders for a second batch of the consoles, which will release on March 31, 2015. It means waiting a little while to get it, but I’m sure many fans will think it’s worth it. The console is limited to one per customer, hopefully preventing more traders from buying up the consoles to sell them on for a profit.

The bundle available for pre-order is the same one that Nintendo originally offered; for £209.99, you get the console, pre-installed with the game, a charger, and the rather awesome Skull Kid figurine that features in the American collector’s edition.

It’s nice to see that it’s the Nintendo store that is re-stocking the console for another batch, as it offered the best deal. The only other retailer to supply the console in the UK was Amazon, which had it priced at £224.99 with no charger or figure. Of course, that’s not including the option to buy the console at the inflated prices on the likes of eBay.

While good news for UK Zelda fans, there’s been no sign of America seeing any more stock of the Majora’s Mask consoles, which sold out even quicker than they did in the UK. For some reason, the American console version does not come pre-installed with the game. We’ll keep our fingers crossed that our American friends might see a second batch available for pre-order soon.

The New 3DS and New 3DS XL will be launching on February 13, 2015, alongside the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D.
