Patrice Désilets, best known for his work as creative director of Assassin’s Creed and Assassin’s Creed II, has unveiled the launch of his new Montreal-based studio, Panache Digital Games. Although the site doesn’t reveal much information at all, when Désilets tweeted the announcement earlier today he promised to “talk to you soon“, hopefully hinting there will be more news in the near future.

Désilets initally left Ubisoft back in 2010 to work at THQ Montreal. However, when THQ and its games were purchased by Ubisoft, Désilets found himself back in the employment of Ubisoft. He was then fired from Ubisoft last year, following his termination from the company Désilets went on to sue Ubisoft for $400,000 and the rights to purchase 1666: Amsterdam. It’s unclear as to whether Désilets was successful in his attempt to purchase 1666. The co-founder of Panache Digital Games, Jean-Francois Boivin, is also an ex-employee of Ubisoft, who was fired shortly after the dismissal of Désilets.
