Disney Infinity 3.0 characters leaked
Multiple figures of the as yet unannounced Disney Infinity 3.0 have reportedly been leaked online. Infinity Inquirer picked up on the leak from chinese reseller website ‘TaoBao’, and while stating that it was just a rumour, Disney has since requested that Infinity Inquirer remove the article, leading many to believe the leak was legitimate. While the original article is gone, you can still find the cached page complete with images. The leaked characters consist of classic Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Mulan, Olaf from Frozen, Sam Flynn and Quorra from Tron, and five characters from Pixar’s forthcoming film Inside Out.
It definitely seems likely to be real to me, aside from the fact that Disney asked Infinity Inquirer to remove the article, all of the characters are very plausible. Disney Infinity favours Pixar films, so an Inside Out range seems like a no-brainer. Olaf being part of the Frozen franchise means that this particular figure will sell without much effort, and with more Tron films coming soon, as well as Tron power discs being sold in the past, it’s not surprising to see these characters either. It’s nice to see more classic Disney characters, especially Mulan as I’ve always felt that Disney was missing a trick by not utilising more of its classic films with Disney Infinity. The only real surprise here is that we haven’t seen any Star Wars figures, which will undoubtedly happen eventually.
