Ever thought you could do with a bit of a new monicker for your game character? Square Enix has launched a new character renaming service for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. The service is available for £5.75 and can be used on any characters associated with your service account. You must purchase the service by logging into the Mog Station, after choosing your character and paying the fee you will be prompted to edit the name once you log back into the game.

The service can not be used during the free trial period, nor can it be used if you have an inactive account. Of course, your name can not be changed if the desired name has already been taken. If it’s been less than one day since you last changed the character name then you have to wait longer. Additionally, any characters waiting to be transferred to another world can not have their names changed until after being moved.
