The other day eagle-eyed fans spotted that the Titanfall season pass was free to download via the Xbox marketplace. As this occurred on the anniversary of the game’s original release, many assumed that it was a celebratory offer that would last for a limited time only. The news was confirmed officially by Respawn later that day in an announcement, which also stated that the season pass could be downloaded free of charge for PC users also via Origin.

Now Respawn has clarified that the downloadable content will remain free of charge from this point onwards. In response to a fan on Twitter, the official account replied stating the following:

This is a great move from Respawn, not only does it please many fans, it gets them all hyped up for the recently confirmed Titanfall 2 as they play through the additional content.
