FFXIV: Cloud Strife costume planned for 720 days veteran reward

It should come as no surprise that the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn 720 days veteran reward would be something that most Final Fantasy fans would love - a Cloud Strife outfit. Cue the masses of adventurers running around as Cloud… This latest veteran reward hasn’t officially been implemented yet, but was announced during the latest Letter from the Producer Live. Could we also see a Cloud-esque hairstyle on the horizon?

This isn’t the first Final Fantasy character costume to cameo in A Realm Reborn, we’ve already seen the likes of Lightning and Snow, and a Setzer costume has been announced as a Gold Saucer reward when the next part of Before the Fall goes live.

Veteran Rewards are in-game item bonuses that are awarded to players periodically based on how long they have had an active subscription. The rewards are based on accumulative subscription, so it doesn’t matter if you take a break from the game for a while as it rewards you based on your overall subscription time. The rewards are distributed via the moogle delivery service in-game as soon as you qualify for each new rank of reward and apply to all current and future characters you own.

Be warned, these special bonus items will not be replaced by Square Enix should you throw them away, so make sure you use them safely.

    When I first saw this promotional image, I thought it was so cool that both men and women were going to be allowed to wear the Cloud outfit. Then Square backtracked on the gender equality and now it seems female chars don’t get the real Cloud pants, they just get the same black Lady Knickers that were already available during the Moonfaire event. I love this game but they really need to stop with the sexism. It’s already bad enough that there are many equipment pieces that magically change appearance based on which gender is wearing it and that there are many pieces that are male-only/female-only. Now they keep this sexism BS going by telling women they can’t wear the real Hilde outfit or Cloud outfit. I would really like the Snow’s outfit too, by the way. (The coat, mainly) And yes they should let males wear the Lightning outfit too.

    I’m really surprised they didn’t do something stupid with the Setzer outfit. At least they got the gender-equality right with that one.

    Oh and besides the Cloud pants, I also think the Cloud boots may have been altered on females. But I’m not 100% sure on that yet.
