World of Warcraft: adopt a new pet for charity this December
It’s not too often you can play one of your favourite games and be doing something charitable in the process. However, Blizzard is helping World of Warcraft players around the world to do just that from December 3, 2014, by adding a new pet to the Battlenet shop. This new adorable critter, named Argi, will be ready and willing to explore the lands of Draenor with you. In the time you’re whiling away the hours in Azeroth with your new goat chum, your well-spent money will be helping those in the real world.
Blizzard will donate 100% of the adoption fee in support of the American Red Cross to assist with the Ebola relief efforts for every Argi pet purchased between December 3 and December 31, 2014. According to the announcement, the pet will retail for $10; as this is the standard price for pets I imagine Argi will cost £9.00 for those in the UK.
Personally, I think Argi is adorable. Now I just need to make a new character named Esmeralda and my happiness will be complete.
