A wild Jigglypuff has appeared! Nintendo has finally confirmed that our favourite singing Pokémon will be returning for Super Smash Bros for 3DS and Wii U. Many fans had assumed the little pink soprano would be making a comeback but it’s nice to see the news confirmed. Nintendo UK tweeted the good news earlier:

Although I always appreciate seeing another veteran challenger return, at the same time I’d love to see more new faces added to the game, Bayonetta anyone?

Super Smash Bros launched on 3DS for on October 3, 2014, with the Wii U version now due to launch on November 28, 2014, after having its release date brought forward. Purchasing both 3DS and Wii U versions will grant you the exclusive challenger Mewtwo. Additionally, registering both games to Club Nintendo will net you a free Super Smash Bros soundtrack CD.
