Giana Sisters: Dream Runners coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4 this year
Giana is set to return in an all new adventure - Giana Sisters: Dream Runners! This competitive multiplayer racer can be played by up to 4 players and will be launching digitally for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4 via the PlayStation Network, and Xbox One via the marketplace in early summer 2015.
The game pays tribute to superb titles like “Micro Machines” or “SpeedRunners,” as up to 4 players compete in local couch-multiplayer or in online matches, not only trying to get first place, but to be so fast that everyone else is left in the dust. Use special abilities and a wide range of power-ups across the game’s nine different maps. Avoid obstacles and try not to get hit by the stunning, slowing, stopping or repelling effects… your opponents surely won’t wait around!
Initially, players will have access to four different variations of Giana, however, the more you play, the more characters you unlock. In total, there will be five different characters for players to guide over the maps. You can unlock a Ninja, an Owl, the Knight or a Robot, however, each character possesses the same set of skills:
- Dash, allowing your hero to hurtle forwards
- Twirling, allowing characters to fly for a short distance,
- Crouching, enabling you to avoid obstacles by sliding underneath them
- The Gem Boost makes your hero insanely fast for a short duration, but consumes all collected Gems
