Microsoft HoloLens designer killed in car accident
According to Kiro TV, 30-year-old Mike Ey, a project designer for Microsoft, was killed in a car accident on Saturday morning. Ey most recently worked on the augmented reality headset, HoloLens that was revealed earlier in the year at a Windows 10 event.
According to reports, Ey’s car was rear-ended by another driver who was speeding on State Route 520. Robert Malsch, the driver who hit Ey’s car, proceeded to flee the scene of the crime. Police later apprehended Malsch and he was charged with vehicular manslaughter and a felony hit-and-run. He is being held on $100,000 bail.
