Underworld Ascendant to continue crowd-funding after Kickstarter
The Underworld Ascendant Kickstarter has just less than 24 hours to go, after officially hitting its target on February 27, 2015. The project has already begun to reach some of its stretch goals, such as the implementation of The Lizardmen, with the next target being the $800,000 stretch goal that will add the Companion Creature feature. However, OtherSide Entertainment doesn’t want the game to be limited by its Kickstarter funding and so has made the decision to continue crowd-funding the game via its website after its Kickstarter campaign ends. Understandably, the team expects funding to progress slower without the aid of Kickstarter, but hopes to reach a few more stretch goals that it was unable to fulfil.
Beginning tomorrow on March 6, 2015, PayPal will be accepted as a form of payment for pledges to the game via the website. This means that anyone who was unable to back the game as they don’t have an Amazon account can now look forward to getting involved with Underworld Ascendant.
OtherSide Entertainment has assured fans that it will be shifting its focus onto “actually making the game now” and hopes to release it by November 2016. The website will also be updated with live events and news, keeping fans up to date with Underworld Ascendant as the project unfolds. Additionally, those who join the forums and register before Tuesday March 10, 2015 9:00 AM ET will be entered to win one of 50 Underworld Ascendant t-shirts.
As an added incentive, during its last 24 hours on Kickstarter, for every additional $10,000 that gets pledged to Underworld Ascendant, OtherSide Entertainment will be giving all Kickstarter backers one Dire Berry.
